Jeffrey Elliott Allen
Founder
January
28, 1943 – July 27, 2007
After
graduating from high school and spending some time in college,
Jeff enlisted and served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the
Vietnam era. During his enlistment, he studied nuclear medicine
and achieved the grade of Hospital Corpsman 2nd
Class. After returning to civilian life, Jeff continued his
medical career in the field of radiology. It was in this
setting where he met his future bride, Donna. Early in their
marriage, Jeff experienced a powerful encounter with God when he
received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. As a result of this
experience, the call to ministry he had received while in high
school was rekindled and Jeff was filled with a renewed passion
to serve the Lord. He went on to serve as an elder at North
County Christian Center, pastored by Merlin Carrothers.
Forsaking a successful career in radiology, which included
setting up a nuclear medicine department at a hospital in
Escondido, California, Jeff enrolled at Berean Bible College in
San Diego, California, to pursue training for full-time
ministry. On April 25, 1976, Jeff was ordained as a minister of
the gospel by Bible Missionary Temple in San Diego, CA, where he
served as an elder and Minister of Education. Jeff went on to
serve as Assistant Pastor of El Cajon Foursquare, El Cajon,
California, Pastor of Lakeview Foursquare, Lakeview, Oregon, and
pastored a house church in Del Mar, California. While pastoring
in Lakeview, the Lord began to reveal Jeff’s calling as a
prophet. In the 1985, Jeff and Donna moved to Athens, Georgia.
It was here that Jeff began to receive seven messages of
apostolic restoration and established Classic City Center of
Ministries. These messages eventually became the Seven Thunders
of the Lion’s Roar. Two of these messages have been published
to date. Jeff and Donna returned to Portland, Oregon, in 1990,
where in Jeff’s words, “The vision died, and he died to the
vision.” However, during a prophetic presbytery in January of
1992, Jeff was set apart and activated as an apostle. Soon
thereafter, Jeff and Donna were directed by the Lord to move to
Des Moines, Washington. In October of 1992, the vision came
alive and Jeff came alive to the vision. In January of 1994,
Center of Ministries was re-established in Des Moines,
Washington, where Jeff served as senior elder. Over the years,
Jeff has endured many hardships and trials, most notably the
passing of his beloved wife, Donna, in August of 2000. Through
it all, Jeff persevered and remained faithful to the vision
entrusted to him by the Lord until he passed into eternity on
July 27, 2007.
The impartation
that we received through Jeff's ministry continues to yield
lasting fruit for God's glory and the establishment of His
kingdom on earth.
I have
fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the
faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to
me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have
loved His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 NKJV
